Spruce Computer Systems is pleased to announce that John Maiuri has joined its sales team. Maiuri is looking forward to working with other dealers to streamline their processes and improve their fiscal performance by transitioning to SpruceWare.NET, the most modern Windows® software package available within the retail lumber, hardware and building materials vertical.
Maiuri offers experience and proven leadership
Maiuri’s industry experience, involvement, and awards illustrate why he will serve as a valuable partner to new Spruce customers. He began his career in 1982 when he became a yard foreman at Dunn Builders Supply Corporation in Catskill, NY. He served as a Purchasing Agent and General Manager before taking over the reins as President in 1994. Dunn Builders Supply was successfully sold to Herrington’s this year.
Maiuri is currently the Treasurer of the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association (NRLA) Political Action Committee. He also serves on NRLA’s New York Legislative Committee. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, an Administrative Board Member of the Greene County Empire Zone and a member of the Heart of Catskill Association (HOCA). He is a past Chief and lifetime member of the Palenville Volunteer Fire Department, President of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Greene County Office Building Task Force.
He was the Eastern New York Lumber Dealer Association’s Lumberperson of the Year in 2003 and the Heart of Catskill Association’s Businessman of the Year in 2004.
